I have a surplus of ingredients right now because I was supposed to throw a party a few days ago, but it got cancelled at the last minute because my son caught a bug. Now that we’re all better I’m looking to repurpose some of the ingredients into an appetizer that I’m assigned to bring to Christmas Eve dinner.

I’m looking to make a baked wreath like [this](https://www.fabfood4all.co.uk/brie-cranberry-tear-share-wreath-a-great-buffet-centrepiece/), which calls for brie. I have a fromage pavé that I was planning on serving as-is at the cancelled party, but I think the shape will slice nicely for the wreath I would like to make tomorrow. I haven’t tried it yet, but read that it is creamier. Does that mean that it will be more of a mess than brie when I put it in the oven? I’m also a little bit concerned that the smell will be overpowering. I like a smelly cheese, but this will be a mixed crowd.

I hope that I’m posting in the right place and don’t get looked down on for massacring a perfectly lovely cheese and turning it into a wreath. 🙂 I figured you all would be the most knowledgeable when it comes to this.
