This looks great!! My only critique is to use a plate that complements the colors of the dish. A medium brown/gold would look good. Or go extreme and red or green.
Either way, get in my belly!!! Looks amazing, OP!

I’d say thicken the sauce a bit, and the plate could use more color; maybe try to get some color on the couscous in the pan, and have a bit more veg and a bit less starch. Maybe a bit of saffron in the sauce for color.

does look yum, beautiful fish! I think you could def be more creative with the plating of the sauce as well as tidy up the couscous. More color as has been said, some chili or herbs/ herb oil/ lemon on the plate.

That brown thing looks like an Acrylic nail

Needs more contrast. Chiffonade some colorful herbs, Brunoise some pickled peppers on top and get some more acidity in there, change the plate color – too much white and off white between the plate, the fish, the couscous and the sauce

putting sauce on the fish is both ruining and hiding the sear. also decide on being symmetrical or not, i would just pool the sauce around the whole plate or keep your fish/couscous to one side and sauce on the other

Not going to to sugar coat it, just going to give it to you straight – that basil garnish looks like Pee Wee Herman’s bow tie. And the rest looks like absolute trash. WTF is that lurking in the cream, a random half olive? WTF is going here man?

My man, this isn’t good, I’m sure it tasted good, but it isn’t worthy of this sub.

White on white on white on white with basil.
Your couscous has random, thick cuts of whatever it contains so it seems rudimentary.
The sauce is isn’t thick enough to coat the fish, so it shouldn’t be ladled over it (it’s too much sauce to begin with)
There’s no definition or contrast or specific appeal here, just a piece of fairly decently cooked fish on pearlized couscous.

I go way less couscous and add some kind of veg for contrast. Grilled asparagus maybe. Could also use a drizzle of some other color for garnish.

I would be sad if I were served this in a restaurant.
The fish looks like it’s cooked well. The couscous is messy and uninteresting. I’m not sure what’s on the plate at the 7:00 position, but it doesn’t look like it belongs there. The garnish looks like an afterthought. The sauce probably tastes good, but there’s almost no contrast in color between any of the elements on this plate. I’m also not a fan of the amount of negative space on this plate.
It definitely needs a veg of some sort. Something green. Maybe a different color plate as well. More of a garnish, for sure.
Maybe a green foam or basil oil “dots”…a larger circle at the 6:00 position, with progressively smaller circles moving counter-clockwise?
