I made (and ate) my first scotch egg.

1st, softboil an egg (place in boiling water for 6 minutes). Remove in a bowl of ice and water to shock stop cooking (about 5 minutes). Wrap in raw sausage ( I took links, removed casing, and flattened out). Fry until done 🤤🤤😋

  2. Yolk looks good, nice and runny. Would generally be coated with breadcrumbs on the outside before being fried though.

  3. I’ve made a ton of scotch eggs just because I thought it was interesting. I eventually stopped because it’s so much easier to just fry a flat sausage patty and top it with a fried egg, which I think is a better eggs. It’s also easier to throw on top of some hash browns and cover it hot sauce.

  4. I have never heard nor have I seen this glorious concoction.

I you are a god I wouldn’t worship you either but I will carry out these instructions tomorrow morning!

  5. It’s meant to be coated in breadcrumbs. I’m sure it tastes good but this isn’t a scotch egg

I wouldn’t call this a scotch egg but I would call it banging and I can’t believe I have never seen naked scotch eggs before because this looks great
