

So I decided to order takeaway for the first time in a long while and I chose a chicken biryani. I love this normally and the restaurant is great, but they must have been off their game last night. They forgot to send any biryani sauce and the actual dish itself was so much greasier and blander than I remembered.
I was totally gutted, because I was looking forward to treating myself and I could have made better, cheaper, healthier food at home! I ate half and kept the rest for today, where I served it with my favourite pickled cucumber, red cabbage with apples and 50g of Greek yoghurt. It was so much better than last night and I'm pleased to see that my taste buds have changed a bit: I enjoyed it more with salad to cut through the stodge.
This is a reminder to anyone out there that we can still have the stuff we like and to keep going. Also, don't @ me about the calories for the biryani- they were a guess that I'm happy to go with just for today.
