Woodman’s is cheese paradise for Illinois folks….unless you feel like driving to Mars Cheese Castle.

My bf was so taken aback when visiting WI for the first time & I was like “this gas station has great cheese curds.”

7 year is the best compromise between age, flavor and price.

So cheap! 7 yr cheddar for $9.29/lb. They’re giving it away!!!!

What I appreciate most about Wisconsin is the curd squeak standard there. In WI almost any you will find squeak. Any other state, almost never squeak unless you’re fortunate enough to be close to a fresh producer

I love Woodman’s and it’s kind of irrelevant to me anyway because I keep kosher, but they miss the specialty cheese segment. If you want something really nice you’re better off going to Whole Foods

I live in England and can get awesome cheddar at any supermarket for not a lot of money 🙂

Strictly by the pic … the post is nothing to brag about honestly. That being said it is wonderful the ease and accessibility you get while there

I haven’t tried Wisconsin cheese before, just wondered if any of you have tried it and have been able to taste test it alongside one of the Vintage cheddar from Cheddar, and if so, what were the main differences?

Not terrible at all. In southern Texas my bill averages $65 a month. Set a timer for 6 months as I’ve only been in San Antonio for the warmer months. We all know how to wear a sweater.

Any chance you could mail some Cougar Gold to a friendly East Coast Canadian?

As I live in Britain, I’m well-sorted with excellent cheddar

Used to live in Kenosha. Wanted to visit this summer with my husband and visit House on the Rock. He was in bliss when he saw the cheese aisle at Woodman’s. We didn’t even get to the cheee castle because we had to go visit his mother. I live in New England and that price of cheddar easily would have been $15.00.

I took a trip to Wisconsin for my 21st birthday for about five days. People there kept asking why I came and that I must have family there but I told them nope I’m a cheese lover and the tickets are cheap in the winter 😂

Got a 12 year for $15.00 up north. Probably the best price for that age. Was great too. Made small and locally.

My “regular grocery store” also sells cheese.
