  1. This is the haute international cuisine of the 70s and 80s. Not a criticism, this is a gorgeous plate.

    As far as food history, this would be the top entree of the Ritz Carlton 1981

    I love black eyed peas and hate asparagus so I’d eat everything but the asparagus (not your deal, it’s mine). Kudos on the red wine reduction. The steak looks perfect. I say good job my friend and good presentation.

  4. Steak is perfect, love charred asparagus even if overcooked haha but the beans are out for me from this dish.

  5. Looks delicious! I live in the southern USA. If you substitute collard greens for the asparagus, this would be a delicious, traditional New Year’s Day meal.

    Black eyed peas looking a little nude or something. I’d consider tossing them in seasoned flour and frying to get them crispy.
