Individually they are gorgeous but together they are not ‘plated’ and there is quite a lot going on. The scatteredness doesn’t seem very appealing I feel if you make it look effortless but still deliberate if you know what I mean then it’ll look good.

  2. Looks like an assortment of various passed apps that you displayed on a single plate. Pass.

  3. I know it’s been popular for almost a decade now but for me personally I’m not a fan of the “stuff scattered everywhere with spacing all over the plate” style. It doesn’t feel conducive to a good eating experience where ingredients go well with each other, and doesn’t feel inviting. Feels more cold and sterile.

Also minor but big ol leaves like that on the plate will look far more appetizing if you toss them with some kind of dressing, even if it’s just a very small amount of evoo and salt so they are seasoned and look shiny instead of dry

I think I like it but I’m not sure. I realize that does not help at all but it’s the feeling I get when I look at it. ” Oh…. yummy..,,! Wait, maybe not!”
