  1. I often get aged cheeses and age them another year or more in my fridge. It does nothing but help the flavor

  2. I mean, was that in your fridge or under a car seat in hot weather? Fridge – yes. Car – hospital.

wrapped in plastic like that cheddar can age more or less indefinitely. was in the backrooms at a local dairy and found cheddars dating back to 2008

  4. Cheese is purposefully spoiled milk. With sone fresh cheese exceptions, you’re good.

  5. Boars head is a mass production brand (but a good quality one), it certainly is very well packaged . If you cannot see any discoloration through the packaging, it is totally edible and fine.

  6. If you don’t find any discoloration when you open it, I’d shove it in my face. If it’s discolored, cut that part off, then shove in face.

I’ve eaten aged cheddar that was still sealed and 4 years past the best by date. If anything it was better. All you gotta do is open it up and give it a sniff test. If it doesn’t smell harmful, it isn’t.

  8. I’ll happily taste test for safety. If there’s some leftover, don’t eat it because I’m likely dead or it was terrible before it expired.

  9. Unopen refrigerated cheese is good indefinitely, at least until it shows mold (which if it’s packaged correctly, it won’t).
