If you’ve kept it refrigerated I wouldn’t worry too much

Cross out the 1000 and write 1500, then sell it for double.

I often get aged cheeses and age them another year or more in my fridge. It does nothing but help the flavor

I would tell you no…. Only to keep for me

Let it age another 1,000.

I mean, was that in your fridge or under a car seat in hot weather? Fridge – yes. Car – hospital.

Cheese is purposefully spoiled milk. With sone fresh cheese exceptions, you’re good.

Boars head is a mass production brand (but a good quality one), it certainly is very well packaged . If you cannot see any discoloration through the packaging, it is totally edible and fine.
Mauceri1990 on
If you don’t find any discoloration when you open it, I’d shove it in my face. If it’s discolored, cut that part off, then shove in face.

If it’s sealed you could probably age it another 1000 days without issues
BullpupPewPew on
I’ve eaten aged cheddar that was still sealed and 4 years past the best by date. If anything it was better. All you gotta do is open it up and give it a sniff test. If it doesn’t smell harmful, it isn’t.

It sat for 1000 days but after the last 45 it’s spoiled

I’ll happily taste test for safety. If there’s some leftover, don’t eat it because I’m likely dead or it was terrible before it expired.

Bragging age statement but might be over aged?
weedtrek on
Unopen refrigerated cheese is good indefinitely, at least until it shows mold (which if it’s packaged correctly, it won’t).
