First post here. I’m a home cook and my wife and I want to prepare a 3-course meal for the next time my parents and my wife’s parents visit us. Right now I’m trying to plate the my Thai Red Curry beautifully. What do you think and what would you change? Thanks!

Looks delicious!
You could plate the chicken and veggies around the rice and not build a little castle with it. Then the rice won’t be soaking wet before you start eating

Looks great, but I would personally always serve Thai curry separate from the rice so that the rice isn’t soggy. People can then eat it how they like (dipping the rice into the curry, pouring out the curry onto the rice plate etc.).
Very fine lime leaf strips, Ito togarashi and curly green onion strips (add the onion strips to ice to get them to curl) can make a boring curry look pretty. You can serve the rice domed (by using a bowl as a mould)

I love everything about this and would be happy to see this served exactly as it is.

I think it’s a fun and creative way to serve it. I enjoy when the rice soaks up the sauce too. The only reason I’d want it separate is if it is very spicy, then I’d want to make sure I have some plain rice to cool it down.

This is a gorgeous way to serve curry! Mind if I steal this?

Honest question. Why chicken and tofu? Tofu seems like an odd addition

The plate is gorgeous! Great choice with the sauce colour.

You totally inspired me and I served it that way today 🙂

I’ve never seen the “castle” like one commenter called it, and I like it. As for pure plating, well done.
