Couldn’t they have called it something other than “Cougar Gold”? “Cougar Gold” makes it sound like it’s one of those fake supplement things that gets marketed towards old guys who can’t get it up anymore. To me at least.

  2. OK after all the talk on here, I need to order this cheese! Do people store it in the can once opened or do you transfer it to a container?

  3. A couple of years ago I made a weekend trip for this. I drove right across Washington state to see the team do the cheddaring and pack them up. I picked up a few cans and some other goodies. A nice drive along the gorge, can recommend.

  4. I feel like joining this subreddit was a bad decision. I love cheese and had never heard of this stuff til I joined. I fear my wallet may not be happy with me soon.

I was just gifted a tin from Feb. 10, 2014. I’m gonna pop it open for its 10 year anniversary

  6. I went to college where this is made. Always order it directly from their website and not at the store. If you get it out of store, it’s like twice as much.

The only thing is sometimes you will get really flaky version of their cheese and other times you’ll get really creamy version. You have to remember college kids make this stuff.

I also recommend opening up the can and quartering it, and vacuum the ceiling the other chunks.

  7. Why do people make posts like this? Why not open it up and try it, and then **tell us how it is**, instead of sharing the non-news that you bought a cheese?

Someone able to source this stuff from Europe/Germany?
I want to know what all the fuzz is about.

  9. Cheese in a tin? I bet it’s nowhere near as good as actual Cheddar from Cheddar in England.
