Is this mold or is this just the rind? If it’s mold, is it safe to cut off and test the rest (this cheese cost 110$/lb, so I really don’t want to toss it out)

  1. This is a very strange question. The rind of many cheeses contain, or is made entirely of, mold, while many moldy cheeses do not have rind.

    No idea, but:

    I can’t think of another food I enjoy where people regularly have to ask if it’s safe to eat or “is this mold.” Clealy, we fans are a dedicated bunch.
