The plate is too close in tone to the first food item touching it.

Bring focus on the green leaf for sure but draws back attention on the real estate taken by the dish.

I like this. Apricot and sage are one of my favorite flavor combos that I’ve been messing around with lately. In fact, I recently ran a salad special with almost this exact combo but with a duck prosciutto instead of mortadella.

  3. I would love trying this. But the mortadella should be sliced more thinly and it looks like it could fall off. Otherwise it’s really about balancing that pesto, it could easily overpower the whole thing, but that’s not to do with plating.

  4. This looks and sounds amazing. I particularly enjoy the contrasting colors and textures. I also really like your plate choice to make the canapé stand out visually.

  5. This is gorgeous. Feels a little too big for a single bite for normal people. I mean, I’d def eat that in one but but I’m a big man.

Edit: in another comment OP mentions it’s about an inch wide so never mind. It’s perfect. Needs a banana for scale lol.
