Not very happy with the plating what can I do to make it better am a culinary student

Basil jalepeno sauce
Chive oil
Prawn mayonnaise
Prawn oil

    One more prawn, but other that that…looks delicious!!! Clean and simple. I like how the oil makes it look like the prawns are in a bed of micro leaves, not something I’d think of as appealing off the bat, but it’s very appealing.👏

    I’m no chef but if I ordered prawns and it came with just 2 drowned in sauce I’d be cheesed. Would still crush it tho fs

    To the comments mentioning prawns should be served in odd numbers: there are 3 prawns on this plate

    Plate it so you can see all 3 prawns, maybe a smaller plate, and the microgreens look like they are just lazily tossed on. I’m not sure it needs them personally, but if you want you could bunch them in to a bouquet and tuck them in to the prawns so they stand up. A basil themed garnish would be more fitting tho. Either way it is a nice dish! Good work OP.

    I’d go for radial symmetry here. Put the prawns in a triangle, and stand them up so that the heads all converge above the center of the plate. Maybe even leave the heads on? Also for this amount of sauce, I’d rather have 5 than 3.

    Love the idea. A bit too much sauce for the number of prawns on the plate. Smaller plate, less sauce, more prawn. I can envision one more component on there. Something starchy to sop up some of that sauce.
