all of these plates are beautiful. descriptions would be nice though, and recipes wouldn’t hurt

  2. Absolutely no issues with anything here, besides the scallions on the one dish. It looks like it was scissored, but also just doesn’t make sense visually to be clumped up on top of what I’m guessing is a protein. Other than that, this clears. Good job.

This is a really amazing presentation. None of them look anything at all like the traditional presentations so I really like the experimentation.

For everyone else, in the image that shows four dishes on the platter, going clockwise from the top.

1: The lobster as it’s got a sauce/foam (sambal) and mussels. Might not be the lobster and just a general seafood dish.

2: Nasi goreng. Indonesian/Malay fried rice, usually has peanuts, dried anchovies, onion and fried egg.

3: That looks like a pan fried or grilled fish fillet (ikan goreng or ikan bakar). I suppose it could also be the lobster dish because of the sambal. Really simple. Just grilled fish fillet that is then covered with a fairly spicy, thick, chilli sauce

4: Gado gado. A cold salad with boiled eggs, boiled potatoes, bean sprouts, cucumber and tofu that is covered with or mixed together with a cold peanut sauce.

  4. You get an A+ for plating, presentation and photography. That is beautiful food. Looks like it belongs in a magazine!

  5. Would you mind sharing a little description or a bit about the contents of each dish? I always really enjoy seeing more traditional ethnic dishes presented beautifully. Makes a change from the very western dishes we tend to see here.
