Tomato pie is criminally underrated. I like to throw a nice anchovy on each slice as well.

Gotta love a good classic tomato pie. Not much is needed, a good canned whole tomato or marinara, salt. (Personal touch, a little dash of mushroom buillion) ~ as it cooks in high temp in the oven, most of liquid is evaporated leaving behind a concentration of savory sweet sauce.
I like u/-no_aura- ‘s suggestion, an anchovy per slice, and me, a generous sprinkle & distribution of basil.
