For my 2026 resolution, I’ve challenged myself to cook a family meal from a different country every week for my household of 5 guys. I cook for them every Monday night and this is the first meal of the year I’ve made.
To make it a proper ‘journey,’ I designed and printed little custom ‘passports’ for the guys to keep. The idea is that every Monday we’ll stamp the page for that country, and they can write down their comments and reviews to track where we’ve been.
I surprised them with the booklets tonight and they absolutely loved the concept. We kicked off Week 1 with Italy 🇮🇹; the pasta was great, but the individual Tiramisu cups were definitely the biggest hit.
On a personal note: this project is really about cooking my way out of a funk. We lost our family dog late last year and the house has felt different, so throwing myself into something creative that brings the family together at the table feels like exactly the kind of healing I needed. 🙏
I hope the energy keeps up. I’ll share the booklets later if folks are interested 😅
