I’ve done French Onion Soup this way and I personally preferred it. I mean, really, breaking out the soup versus the bread versus the cheese doesn’t look *that great*. But who cares. It’s still a meal fit for a king. Those cool kids only order it because it looks fancy in that bowl no one uses except for French Onion Soup. … I mean… I guess, sure, one can use them for a couple of other things… Maybe something like a pie crust or mash potatoes… I’m getting ideas…
