I don’t know cheeses well enough to know if this would be an okay combination but it looks insane visually. I’m gonna venture to say pairing ube, vanilla, and Gouda wouldn’t taste…amazing.

You should buy it…for the science. And then report back to tell us how it is.

i would 100% try it, but I’m not sure I’d spend precious grocery money on the risk of nasty cheese

  3. If you get it eat it promptly within 3 days. Idk why but anything ube has alwaysbspoiled quickly. Its essentialy a purple yam from philapines.

Even in a fridge ube products mold quickly.

  4. I wouldn’t eat that, but Yancy’s Fancy is AWESOME. That bacon gouda next to it is great. Even better, white cheddar bacon. Hard to find!

  5. I tried this cheese earlier in the month! It was…. Weird? It tasted more like vanilla than ube but didn’t really taste like either flavor, and it ended up being unexpectedly dry.

It also turned my tongue blue 💀

Holy crap I want it!!!! Ube is one of my favorite flavors and I do enjoy Yanceys, too. Whereabouts was this store?

  7. I love cheese & am always trying to find new things to try but I’m not so sure about this one…

That color and appearance makes me think it would be fantastic on a Halloween charcuterie board.

Ube and cheese is a popular combination in the Philippines literally in ice cream and bread form and more, so I am shocked to see ube and gouda,, I wish I could try that to sse how it would pair together in cheese form

I’m Filipino and I’m here to say that we don’t need to be putting ube in everyone

  11. FFS people, please stop ruining Gouda. Vanilla and blue coloring, Christ on a bike.

*) Edit – vanilla *flavouring* obviously, why use the real stuff?
