I’ve had it in the fridge since 2011. Marcie the Cheese Maker must be nearly 35 by now. How long have others aged CG?

I asked the same thing a little while back. Someone who worked at the creamery said they’d eaten it at a variety of ages and their favorites were in the 10-15 year range.

  2. I’d probably either save it for the soonest special occasion or eat it now. At 15 years old, it’s at the end of the range that I’ve heard long aged cheddars are still enjoyable to eat.

  3. It should’ve been *under* the fridge. Probably ruined now.

Also, 35 is more MILF category, cougar needs are least 15 more years.

Man, I’d really like to try this brand. No luck in NW GA. I’m not about to pay $80-$100 for a can from Amazon.
I’ll just enjoy my grocery outlet Brie for $1.99 a wheel.

I hope you enjoy it whenever that may be.

  5. I think I share this every time CG is posted here, but I have a tin that is held in the fridge in trust in a reverse tontine between my friends and I. Meaning instead of the last one standing eating it, we crack it open when the first of us is on the way out.

  6. Holy chrome, you all have such patience! They don’t last more than a few weeks in our house.

  7. I am saving mine for peak apple season; it goes great with apples and pears. It’s only 2 years old, but I can’t just leave it alone. 😋

  8. I order a dozen per year; I use 1 can per month. They don’t last longer than that in my house. That 2010 one must be so crystallized, I’m curious what it would taste like.
