I bought this two weeks ago. Best if used by August 19. The first half tasted fine, but when I checked this one the package bloated. Do you know what happened? And if it's still safe to eat?
Nope the bloat is from bacterial growth it is spoiledddddd. Do not eat!!

Probably fermentation or something. Not good. I bet you would be able to smell that if you opened it, may have been exposed to warm temps for too long (not an expert).

Take it back to Costco, they’ll refund half (if not the full) of the purchase price.

It fermented. It is not safe to eat because it has bacterial overgrowth.

Best by dates are just suggestions, both ways. Costco will refund the full amount, even with just a picture.

Consider not getting pre-sliced. Thatβs not going to last as long as a whole mozzarella blob.Β
