    The carrot sticking up in the air like that is weird and unappealing. The roasted, dry, left on root at the tip is especially unappetizing.

    Iโ€™m a fan of the organized chaos. I would clip the crispy root hair but I like the way the carrot is laid. I would also pipe the goat cheese so it looks a little cleaner. Could even pipe it in a way that contains the red oil. Looks like itโ€™s gonna run all over the plate otherwise

    Personally, I feel this plating looks amazing! Trim the wispy root of the carrot, sure. But it’s still beautiful! I love the organised chaos! 10/10 would smash and would serve to my customers.

  5. I think this is gorgeous, and I think the wild look to it really suits the dish. The only thing I don’t like is the pink sauce, it takes away from the earthy, wild feel to the dish

    EDIT – oh wait, I’ve just realised that’s shadow from the way the plate is lit ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  6. Not a professional chef, but I like the carrot. Itโ€™s bold and I feel like itโ€™s challenging me to a duel. Iโ€™d lose the stringy root on the end, though.

    salmon skin looks crisp yum!
    I think you can work on the arrangement of the vegetables a bit more. perhaps more in a straight line with the salmon an an angle with it?

    The little kresse (cress in English?) is unnecessary and i think that adds to the ‘mess’
