Recently started a low calorie (not 1200), healthy diet and it’s going well. Decided to have a big brunch today as a treat (not a cheat day, still going to stick to my calorie goal). Was shocked when I put it into MyFitnessPal that it’s almost exactly 1200. Hope I don’t get hungry anytime soon.

2 eggs, one (?) avocado, two large slices bread, 2 sausages…doesn’t add up to 1200 to me. Did you use packaging information or a scale, or how did you measure?
A good visual for how easy it is to overeat (eat more than your maintenance calories) without realizing it. To most this is a healthy breakfast. Healthy fat in the avocado, protein in the sausage and eggs. But multiply that by three “healthy” meals a day and you’re quickly over 3,000 calories. This is why strict tracking is necessary for most of us unfortunately 😭
Not a chance that’s 1200kcal unless that plate is 50cm diameter and those are ostrich eggs.

the bread must be what brioche? the avocado mixed with mayo?

Dang. No wonder I have trouble losing my last ten pounds all my damn life if one meal is easily my whole days worth.
Being short and tiny really sucks if you are a foodie 😭
OP would it be okay if I reposted this to the Petite Fitness sub? I see a lot of posts where people are confused why they’re eating healthy but not losing weight and dont realize how easy it still is to eat healthy but be over calories and i think your post really puts it into perspective
