    Trim the broccolini. The meat is barely displayed. But I definitely want to eat that.

    Risotto is a tad undercooked, see the white in the center? That’s where you should be after the par-cook and then finish it on the pick up. Sauce consistency looks nice on the ribs. Nice score on the mushroom. As said before, trim the brocollini and make the plate a bit less busy. Overall looks like a good dish though, dial it in and lower portions and you’ll be set.

  4. I don’t mind the display, but damn I’m surprised to be the first one to say my one complaint is the forced grill marks. Can we get rid of the obvious grill impressions?

    If you’re serving it in a bowl, a knife shouldn’t be needed. A plate is ok.

    Looks delicious, and like you made it at home. Short rib color and texture looks great. Scoring the Mushroom is fun, but it’s still just short rib & crew piled on risotto.
