Very Nice tradition. We usually have raclette on the 25th

Christmas Eve is cheese centered – affectionately dubbed Cheeses for Jesus. Buffet of many different cheeses (we are currently up to 9-10 procured already for this year), cold cuts, pickles, crackers and breads. Perhaps not the most adventurous choice, but it is not Christmas for me until I’ve had my sage derby.

My tradition is over-ordering from my cheesemonger of choice. Looking forward to collecting enough cheese for six people on Monday… there will be two of us 🧀🧀🧀👍

Cougar Gold from Washington State University! It comes in a big tin, and it’s a really sharp and rich white cheddar. Goes well will almost everything and makes great Mac and cheese 🤤
Awww. That reminds me of my home cheese shop. We always do a big cheese plate as our NYE meal.

Not currently, but if I ever have kids, they *will* be leaving out cheese instead of cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. I wanted to do that ever since that “behold the power of cheese” commercial from the 90s.

We go to Penn Mac every year in Pittsburgh strip district. Amazing selection. I try not to go during the year to much because I will spend way too much much money

Hello I would very much like to spend the Christmas holidays with you and your family I shall bring wine and crackers (the eating kind not the Xmas kind) thank you in advance

We do fondue on Christmas Eve. Hot cheesy goodness!
I’m also really into my cheese advent calendar from Aldi. I’ve been doing this for years and it still makes me happy to have a tiny overpriced piece of cheese to end each day in December.

Yes. If Whole Foods does the “12 days of cheese” thing where they reprise every 12 of the cheese sales, I go to Whole Foods on that day.

We go on an annual cheese shop trip too. We buy a different cheese for each member of the family. Those become the main gift for adults, and a stocking stuffer for kids.

When we were younger, my (older) brother said that instead of milk and cookies for Santa, we should leave cheese and eggnog. We did that for…most of my childhood i guess?

The holidays are an excuse to try as many new cheeses as possible. I can’t over indulge on carbs so I try to make sure my blood is 50% cholesterol by the end of the season.
