Iron supplements are gnarly, and so is too much iron. Ask for a blood panel if you’re concerned, but if you don’t have symptoms of low iron it’s unlikely it will be an issue

If you go donate blood, they test your hemoglobin for free. Hemoglobin is similar to iron

after talking to your doctor and getting some bloodwork done, lentils and beans are a great way to get iron and fiber, and are perfect for low calorie meals. Tofu is also a fun source 🙂
