  1. You should see a doctor and get blood work to determine if you have a deficiency and how to best address it, and that’s really only necessary if you’re displaying any symptoms.

    Iron supplements are gnarly, and so is too much iron. Ask for a blood panel if you’re concerned, but if you don’t have symptoms of low iron it’s unlikely it will be an issue

  3. If you go donate blood, they test your hemoglobin for free. Hemoglobin is similar to iron

    If your bloodwork shows low iron and doctor recommends it. I had to take one when I was pregnant, it has some unpleasant side effects

  5. after talking to your doctor and getting some bloodwork done, lentils and beans are a great way to get iron and fiber, and are perfect for low calorie meals. Tofu is also a fun source 🙂
