Grocery Outlet has great cheese sometimes. Where’s your store?

Please don’t hate me, but I actually prefer aged gouda to parm in pasta.

Very old Gouda might be my favorite cheese. The nutty flavor, the way it melts in your mouth…

1000 day is always like $2.50/oz. So good but so pricey. =(

Yum!!! Some of my fave. If you can get Murrays Roomano, with 2 O’s it’s the same only better!
Trader Joes has the 1000 day as well.
Cool to see the love for the crystals!

I used to be able to get 10-year old Gouda….but guess too many others caught on. 3 years is about all I can find anymore.

It’s hard to go to mild Gouda after having the aged one . This one is particularly delicious .

Is this in the USA? I grew up on big wheels of Dutch Gouda and am salivating at the thought of this cheese!!!

But that was yesterday. They need stickers to update the label as the days keep going! That’s false advertising!! My OCD can’t handle this kind of marketing. I bet it tastes fabulous though.
I have an X.O. in my fridge. Mine cost me 31€ ($33). It’s definitely delicious. I only eat mine shaved, maybe with a slice of apple/pear for dessert.

36 months aged comté is still the supreme choice.

Yet you’ll never get to eat it on the 1000th day

Fun to make the comparison. This cheese will be about 2.50 for 150g in my hometown of Gouda, The Netherlands.
So it’s not even that much more expensive, which surprises me.

This Gouda is by far my favorite. The crystallization is immaculate. Perfect flavor and hardness all around.
Publix sells this exact cheese for $8.99.
