Bought some parmesan last week. Bow it has some white spots. Should i throw away or still eat?

  1. Yes, this is what happens to cheese when it ages. Protein crystallizes making nice little crunchy pockets. Also, the more cheese ages the less lactose it has, this looks to be Parmigiano Reggiano, aged around 2 years. Most people with any lactose issues can eat this.

    It’s not mold if that’s what you’re thinking. And even if it were, you could just cut it off and still eat it.

  4. It’s perfectly fine.. large cuts like that can last you a while so long as you wrap/store it well

    if you eat it and dont die then its ok to eat but if you eat it and do die then dont eat it
