I’m using stock images but I am always on the lookout for new cheeses to try whenever I go to the store. Credit to “Taste Atlas” for the cheese image and cheese facts. If any of you know some cheeses that I haven’t done yet I would love some input!

Here is your daily cheese facts: Pwll Ddu (Black pool), named after the Pwll Du Tunnel, which was the longest horse-powered tramway tunnel to be built in Britain at the Pwll Du limestone quarry, Blaenavon. The cheddar is flavoured with mustard, leeks, and The Reverend James Welsh ale, giving it a mouth-watering savoury bite. Combined with a slice of Welsh Black beef and salad in a wholemeal malted roll, it provides a wholesome, tasty meal. For something hot, serve a medallion of the cheese upon a steak or piece of gammon, or just melt it onto a slab of crusty bread for the Traditional Welsh rarebit. The cheese is coated in neutral wax, allowing the texture of the mustard grain to shine through.

Also as a note: I post my daily cheese here as well as in my r/dailycheese subreddit.

  2. The line break being right after “brains” is unfortunate. Sounds delicious, though (once I understood the label)!
