
She also said you can’t get it in the US. I saw the label when she was cutting it to share with me and it said “Tierno”.
I googled it and found that wasn’t true but I also didn’t see one that looked exactly like the one she shared with me (in red wax, she cut it from a ball of cheese). It’s super delicious!
If I get another brand will it taste the same and have a rich flavor?

Edam cheese comes in a red wax covered ball. It’s a dutch cheese.
Cadí Tierno comes from the Catalonian Pyrenees, not Switzerland. If it’s Tierno, it’s Spanish cheese.
This does look like deli ham.
Tierno can also just be the Spanish word for “mild” and often used to describe Edam, if it’s sold in a Spanish speaking country.
