I think it sounds nice, but I’m in the school of thought that if it isn’t fine dining, don’t try to force it.

That whack of crispy chicken would look so much more appealing if it was really simply and rustically plated, maybe with all those other flavours put into a neat salad by it or something.

sounds very delicious. i think this plate is probably great for a sauce that contrasts the color, but here the texture and color distracts from the food’s appearance. i would center the chicken and waffle, with a larger waffle so it’s visible, and put the coulis on top of the waffle and beneath the chicken. the salad arrangement seems a little dramatic.

Objectively, it’s all style no substance, plating is something you’ve seen on insta, and spent more time thinking about doing instead of putting effort into chopping everything properly. Reign it in and pay more attention to the details.

  4. It’s pretty, and I bet it tastes good, but it looks like it’s difficult eating, and it has a kind of gentleman farmer vibe.

The plate color and texture does not work for me. The food looks tasty and the plating will come with practice. Salad definitely needs help…candied chilis sound like a nice twist. Have fun.

What’s happening on the right has absolutely fuck all to do with what’s happening on the left.

you’re over complicating a plate of simple comfort food with everything on the left. but the biggest thing is, the knife cuts need work. the pickled onions are sloppy and the cut on the chives on top of the chicken is all over the place. proper knife cuts will go a long way in making a plate more visually appealing

I’ve always wondered what fine dining chicken n waffles would look like, very nice!
