  1. The sauces look divine, but mapo tofu is best in huge blocks with clean cuts. Creates the best contrast between the textures of the tofu, oil, ground (faux) meat and paste.

  2. I don’t even know the recipe, but that plate looks completely smashable. Whatever that creamy sauce is? I’d slather it all over myself. 10/10 to the eyes. How did it taste?

    This isn’t mapo tofu, but it does look and sound tasty from your recipe description! I’d call it “creamy noodles with smoked tofu and Toban Djan.” It looks like a fun, Szechuan-inspired dish!
