It’s not a proper Philly but I enjoyed it nonetheless! Ribeye with green bell peppers and Gouda (the more traditional options weren’t available). My second attempt to make this for dinner and it was great 🙂
Looks pretty good. Experiment with provolone or cooper cheese next time. I even use some pepperonis and banana peppers for some added flavor.

I was born and raised in the Philly area, and although that definitely isn’t a typical cheesesteak, it looks fucking delicious.
Good work friend.

One of the most important things about a “proper” Philly cheesesteak is the bread—Amoroso rolls are the standard—so if you don’t have access to those, don’t worry about the authenticity so much.
Was it delicious? Did you keep the ingredients simple? Great, you’ve made a cheesesteak to be proud of. And this looks very tasty.
