  1. Trying this again 😀

The family and I attempted some homemade Chinese takeout of some of our go-to dishes. It is so much damn work and we definitely have a new found respect for those cooks!

Dishes are: Mushroom and egg fried rice, char siu pork, chicken satay with peanut sauce, Cantonese style chow main, sweet and sour chicken balls, sweet and sour shrimp, green beans with black bean sauce. Non homemade: spring rolls and sweet and sour sauce.

Man, that looks like a nice feast. How many helpers did you have and how many hours? I try feasts like this and sometimes it takes so long, the family end up ordering take out anyway to take the edge off.

I would absolutely love to know your fried rice recipe! I can never get it quite right at home.
