Episode 2: Edam!
For this week’s new cheese is Edam! Or as my boyfriend would call it, the cheese made backwards. Aldis brand to be exact, and while I haven’t had it anywhere else, this was delicious! This one I had did not have any distinct yellow or wax coating. Since edam very versatile with its mild flavor and smooth texture, it was very easy to pair with. Best melted on sandwiches or placed on a snack plate. Or to go with something a little different, melted over crispy Brussels sprouts.
Overall 10/10 cheese. I’d like to try and compare one with wax and no wax coating. To see if there’s any differences. Looking for any suggestions for next new cheese!
