i went to a seafood restaurant and tried these called Gator Bites. they were deep fried white alligator meat. i actually liked it. kind of like chicken with a little catfish flavor, and a tiny chewy texture like lobster.
It’s not terrible, but definitely only able to eat a couple pieces in a year or more . I don’t really care for seafood so that may be why. It’s like a … not good chicken

I always enjoy some good gator bites. I feel like most people aren’t fans of the texture, but I love the chewiness, reminds me slightly of fried calamari.

Deep fried really doesn’t do it justice. My experience is Gator and Croc are better cooked like a whitefish, sauté in butter, herbs.

I wasn’t impressed the few times I’ve eaten alligator. If I could have it in any other form besides small chunks, fried in oil used for several orders of chicken tenders and fish, I may have liked it.
