Hmm I think it’d look a little more dynamic if they were slightly more offset from each other? like as if they were the long lines of a parallelogram instead of a rectangle. Otherwise this is absolutely beautiful

IMO “simple” dishes like this really show your skill, because there’s nothing to hide behind. Just three elegant looking well executed components. Looks good

stunning! perfection in the details but i also agree with the comment about it being too symmetrical, the first photo works because the angles make it look slightly offset whereas the second photo looks like an “H”. i’m curious about the apples in the cigar, were they more tart?

  4. Looks great. Technically perfect. Just a couple of observations on balance.

    1) Is there enough sauce? Imagine that breast cut into mouthful sized pieces. Not sure if there is enough sauce to lubricate each bite?

    2) Is there too much apple? Assuming that’s cigar is full, same exercise how much apple will there be with each bite? Perhaps too much sweet fruit relative to the meat?

  5. Maybe a smidgen more sauce? But this a a beautiful plate of perfectly cooked food and a wonderful presentation.

The only thing I’d change is that is cut the duck on the other side too. So you can see how perfectly cooked it is from all angles.
