20th/25th anniversary dinner at a popular local Michelin place near our little corner of the boondocks. Big focus on local and sustainable producers.

On my plate clockwise from top, a missing Yarg, Lord London – the pyramid Brie, a cider washed, Gubbeen, and barkham blue by village maid.

Consumed with a 20 year old tawny port.

Words fail me. The port did not.

  1. Ok, I’ve never been to a Michelin any* restaurant but I would’ve imagined a cheese platter at one would be more… impressive?
Like, I make my cheese plate at home prettier than that…. sorry but had to say it. Hope it was yummy

  2. Is it *really* 3*? I thought it only had one….. Looks delicious though: hope it was a great meal!

I used to live quite close to Gubbeen and shudder to think how many pounds of it I’ve eaten over the years. But I do not regret a bite ❤️
