You will need (ingredients):
-
1 (8 oz) package refrigerated crescent roll dough
-
1/2 lb breakfast sausage
-
4 oz cream cheese, softened
-
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
-
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
Directions:
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
-
In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese, if using.
-
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
-
Roll the dough starting from the wide end, tucking in the filling as you go, and place the croissants on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Brush each croissant with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
-
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
-
Serve warm and enjoy!

I just tried something similar but replaced the sausage with quality cold cut ham. The 6 of us ate all of them
