    It’s a good and versatile product. There’s a really good regional brand here that I’m very happy to have found.

    I’ve also enjoyed the cultured cottage cheese they got when I worked at the cheese store once upon a time.

    Edit: not going to lie, I kind of fell for the “Tiffany Platter.” Chicken apple sausage dipped in cottage cheese and yellow mustard is absolutely delicious.

  4. There’s been a lot of weird cottage cheese hate discourse both on reddit and tiktok recently. I assume some stupid good blog or YouTube channel posted some hot take for views and a bunch of folks suddenly latched on.

    It’s sold in every grocery store for a reason: it’s good and commonly purchased.

    I eat it daily and use well drained versions wherever recipes call for ricotta, which I cannot stand.

    This is my go-to cheese for salad. I just pour it over some spinach and it tastes great.

    I also like to eat it on its own with raspberries.

    I love Cottage Cheese. I can easily eat a huge 750g tub of it in one go. Absolutely delicious.

  15. I love the full fat American kind. I hate that the only kind you can get in Canada is 1 or 2 % milkfat

    Does any one else absolutely nuke it with fresh cracked black pepper? Like inappropriate amounts of pepper.

    Nope. That’s how I feel. Just… nope. Tried it. Can’t get past the texture or the flavor.

  25. I wish I could like it but to me it looks like vomit and the mouth feel is disgusting-like regurgitated milk. However-I adore ricotta.

    I’m obsessed with cottage cheese with some cut up fresh peaches (has to be fresh), blueberries, and a drizzle of really good real maple syrup…I could eat it every single day. Also good with strawberries when peaches aren’t in season

    Also makes the best scrambled eggs
