I also see how you try to play with the shapes (triangle, circle, square), which could make things interesting, but in this case, they seem conflicted.
The biggest problem though, is that the whole plate looks pretty drab.

This looks delicious and it is ok to have some simple plate up styles. A few little steps to possibly refine the finished plate:
-A black plate would make this pop
-Clean the edge of the pie before placing on the plate, so you get a nice, sharp edge along the bottom
-Your description says candied walnuts, if you had 2-3 candied walnut halves to sprinkle on the tart, or even some sugared cranberries, that could be an easy additional element that would add interest
-I like that the whipped cream is softly whipped, it might be nice to even have it be a bit softer and have it dripping off the side towards the ice cream. This paired with the above suggestion of walnuts or cranberries.
-The ice cream scoop is slightly too large for the tart. You want the tart to clearly be the main focus with the ice cream as secondary
Otherwise, great job! This tart really does look delicious and I like that it is different from other popular seasonal offerings.

The plating looks very basic, which is fine.
