Food smears have been bugging me. I think they are way over used and look a bit lazy and messy.
**This smear however is great!**
I like the symmetry of it. I am going to steal your idea 🙂

Plating is beautiful but I think the plate is a bit large for the portion size of cheesecake

Love the plating. My only criticism is that the cheesecake looks too “homemade” compared to the rest of the plate.
If if were me, I’d work on tightening up the cheesecake. Make it smoother, more straight-edged, more professional looking.

The smear and the crunchies are superb. Really. As /u/whereismycoffees said, I’m stealing this too.
The cheesecake, however, looks like it’s been in a display cabinet all day. What all’s in it? Too moussey, not enough cheese perhaps.

If you’re having difficulty getting clean edges on your cheesecake, you cane bake off some extra crust crumbles separately, then roll the edges and even the top with the crumbs. This would provide more contrast for decoration as well.

I feel like a higher crust on your cheesecake would provide for some more contrast. I also wonder what this would look like on a slightly darker plate. I’m generally not a fan of the mint sprigs but I don’t hate it. I love the scrape of the creme and the crunchies sound and look lovely. I definitely want to eat this plate.

This is looking great!
I’m not gonna mention the cheesecake as every other comment has done it already so I’ll just say two things.
You have a basically monochrome white/cream colored dessert on a cream colored plate. This dessert on a darker plate would pop and look way more striking, the similarity of colors makes your really clean sharp streak look fuzzy and in general makes everything feel muted.
The second thing im gonna say is lose the mint sprigs. If they’re not a part of the dish with a clear thought out way of eating them what’s the point of having them? You first push them to the side and then eat the dessert, all because it “needed green”. Either think of something you actually want on the plate or skip it entirely.

Is the cheesecake too centered? I feel like it should be placed towards the edges with the smear centered.
Also, I don’t think this (literal) plate does this dessert any justice.

Look like a special delicacy for a special occasion. My intestine is already calling my tongue to dig in and enjoy the yummy taste 😋
