really nice dish. not a big fan of cantaloupe but would love to try this. what makes it “icelandic” creme fraiche? just where the dairy is from?

Beautiful dish! A word of caution to anyone looking to duplicate: know your plants, because Queen Anne’s Lace looks similar to poison hemlock.

I feel like I’m looking at a Birds Eye view of a forest. Fucking love it!

I think this looks great, but I think there’s a bit too much granita. Just cut it back by like, 25%

Gorgeous! How does Queen Anne’s Lace taste?
Aesthetically I would like to see less of the stems, feel like it would look nice to have them nestled with all flowers facing up instead of laying any which way.
Overall an absolutely gorgeous dish though. I don’t typically love cantaloupe (and even less so after learning it is not spelled canteloupe) but I would be very excited to try this.

This is really stunning and the delicate flowers and deep visual texture is just glorious. I can taste it 😫

This is the most Northern European posh dish I’ve ever seen.

Super novel. Great, stark, sharp colors. Minor note: I think the queen anne’s falls a little flat, visually. Larger pieces or something else adding another note of vibrant color and some subtle flavor might put this over the top. Overall a great showcase of random texture and natural color which is underrepresented on this sub. Also, great choice of plate.
Edit: I take it back. The queen anne’s works for me. Well done.

This looks nice and somehow fucks with my brain. Is the cantaloupe green? If it isnt, is it under the green stuff? What is the green stuff? The image kinda looks like its painted to me.
(Not negative criticism i love it especially because it fucks with my brain)

Haha. Thanks. It’s half orange flesh cantaloupe with seeds removed. Inside is a generous smear of the crème and blackberries. Then covered by the flavorful green granita (ice shaved into a snow-like texture) made with juiced sorrel leaves, wheat grass, sugar and lemon juice. It’s a nice surprise for the guest to find what’s under it.

This might be my fav post so far on this sub. I just want to bite into my phone.
