I simmered for about 15 minutes on medium-high. Added water a couple of times to really let it cook down and get syrup-y, but I’ve made it before without doing that, you just want to make sure your sugar doesn’t turn hard.

Ooh now this is an idea. For some reason, a sweet snack is way more filling for me if it’s warm. Plus I just love apple pies

Also, what’s that ice cream like? Never seen it before

I do this! I don’t add the sugar but I do a squeeze of lemon juice when it’s done.

I make a microwave “apple pie in a mug” version. Diced apples, mix in sweetener and cinnamon. In another bowl, a tablespoon of melted butter and 3 tablespoons of oats, also add cinnamon; this works as a… topping/pie crust(?). Spread the oat topping on top, pop in microwave for 2-3 minutes. Ezpz apple pie squeeze-y.

I put cooked apples on top of my oatmeal too. It’s so good. The oatmeal makes it feel like a soft pie. That sounds nasty but I fucking loooooove it.
