Made Gumbo and Pizza this week. Title is just a joke and getting ahead of any “gumbo should be darker” conversations. Though I do fully intend to make my roux darker on the next attempt. Turned out great otherwise.
Seafood Gumbo with crabmeat, oysters, shrimp, and andouille
Pizza with garlic parmesan white sauce. Added fresh thyme and lemon juice after adding the sauce. Then topped with Mozzarella and Fontina cheese, hen of the woods mushrooms, pancetta, and broccolini. Topped with extra fresh thyme, lemon zest, and lemon juice after removing from the oven
