  1. Never could figure out how people eat oatmeal. I always had to force it down!

    But this savory version is delicious. I saw a version posted on the sub and it reminded me of the Chinese dish congee, hence the toppings.

    Definitely going to try an egg as well but today was a late breakfast.

  2. I still have yet to try out savory oatmeal! I love sweet oats, but I also love congee & things like it so I’m intrigued. Looks delicious!

    this is one of my go to breakfasts, seriously, give it a try if you like congee. It’s similar in texture, taste is pretty close with the right stuff in it. You can even throw in chicken stock for more flavor.
