I am SO TIRED of eggs and egg whites in the morning!! I wanted to try and find a new way to use egg whites for a high-protein/high-volume breakfast without resorting to protein powder, and I remembered how everyone raved about ‘anabolic French toast’ awhile back. Played around with ingredients, and I have a recipe I’m happy with!!

-6 slices low cal bread (I use weight watchers)
-120 grams egg whites (or egg beaters for a more realistic colour)
-2 tbs 5% cream
-Cinnamon to taste
-5 Splenda
-Dash of flavouring (I use GOT7 vanilla or banana)
-Steeve’s sugar-free maple syrup to taste

Toast the bread lightly and whisk everything else together on a flat dish. Dunk toast into mixture, turning over a few times with tongs and ‘basting’ the bread. Let excess drip before cooking. Heat up a sprayed pan on medium, and put toast in, spooning a little bit of mixture on top to really coat it (I find letting it drip and then coating it after it’s in the pan helps prevent egg mixture from dripping and cooking around the bread). Turn over once bottom is golden brown and let other side brown up, and serve with more syrup and cinnamon!

  1. Try Ezekiel or sprouted grain bread that’s what kind of bread I eat usually I haven’t made French toast ever though I guess I’ll try it one day
