Looks delicious! What does carrots from soup mean, you made soup and then fished out the carrots to eat separately?
As for the photography, I think the food and plate composition look nice, but the lighting looks really yellow. I would try a less intense/dark backdrop for the plate and try to get the light a bit brighter and more neutral. Look at other people’s photos and try to pinpoint what you like about them.
