2 tsp vanilla extract
Sticky Smear (Bottom)
1 stick butter, very soft

1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup corn syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1 TB vanilla extract
1/2 tsp fine salt
Other
2 cups chopped pecans

Mix the filling ingredients until smooth and spreadable.
Roll dough into about a 16×16 square.
Spread filling evenly over the dough.
Roll tightly into a log and cut into about 2-inch pieces. You should get 8 large rolls.
Grease a casserole dish and lightly coat with butter.
Spread the smear evenly across the bottom.
Sprinkle 2 cups chopped pecans evenly over the smear.
Place rolls cut side down on top of the pecans.
Cover with plastic wrap (lightly sprayed so it doesn’t stick) and let proof 1 hour until puffy and touching.
Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
Let sit about 5 minutes, then carefully flip the entire pan out while still warm.

I’m sure they taste great, but that is one food that is incredibly unsuited to the ‘slow-mo pull apart’. Makes you feel sick just watching it as your eyes/brain try to parse what you are looking at. First thing I saw was ‘rice & sweetcorn chunks in something brown and sticky’.

I love these recipes, and this one looks particularly good, but that’s a lot of plastic waste for one dish.
