  1. When it’s with what appears to be a nice fried white fish, the potatoes are called chips.

    Everyone being pedantic in here correcting OP to “chips” as if it matters. These are literally French-fried potatoes, not a point of pride. Whatever you call them they’re literally the least important part of the meal. That breading looks nice and light, and crispy. The fish should be the star in fish and chips/fish and fries anyway.

  5. 99.9% of restaurants in the US still call this Fish and Chips on their menu so I seriously don’t understand when people say Fish and Fries or Fries and Fish. It just doesn’t sound right
